The John Dramani Mahama-led government has appointed Prof. Ransford Edward Van Gyampo as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Shippers Authority (GSA).
Prof. Gyampo, a respected academic from the University of Ghana’s Political Science Department, officially steps into the role, taking over from Kwesi Baffour Sarpong, who was appointed by the Akufo-Addo administration in December 2023.
His appointment was formally confirmed in a letter delivered by Dr. Calistus Mahama, Executive Secretary to the President.
According to sources, Mr. Sarpong has been directed to transfer his responsibilities to Prof. Gyampo without delay.
Born on March 31, 1977, in Accra, Prof. Gyampo brings a wealth of experience to his new position.
