The Ghanaian national football team’s home and away uniforms for the 2024–2025 season have been revealed by international sportswear company Puma, which combines strong design with local history.
The away kit’s eye-catching yellow design reflects the team’s lively energy, while the home kit maintains tradition with its recognizable white base.
“Four-time Africa Cup of Nations winners Ghana are iconic in every sense, both in name and nature,” Puma said in a statement on its website.
The home shirt features a black star in the middle, a reference to Ghana’s national insignia, while both jerseys feature distinctive designs derived from traditional Adinkra emblems. The same themes are emphasized in the away uniform, which uses a bright yellow design to reflect the nation’s rich cultural character.
Ghanaian designer Jefferson Osei worked with renowned painter Daniel Alum Jasper to create the kits. In order to depict Ghana’s varied tribal origins, they used Adinkra symbols that stand for strength, togetherness, and culture.
The uniforms were originally intended for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, but with Ghana’s qualification on the line, their debut may be in doubt. The team’s destiny rests on achieving crucial wins in the last qualifiers, which include games against Angola and Niger.
