Afrobeat star Sefa Abena Amesu, popularly known as S3fa, has officially announced her departure from D-Black’s Black Avenue Muzik.
In a statement, Sefa reflected on her six-year journey with the label, which began in 2018 when she signed her first deal.
She credited Black Avenue Muzik for shaping her artistry and providing a platform that helped her achieve widespread recognition.
“When I joined Black Avenue Muzik, I had dreams of sharing my music with the world. Over the years, I’ve grown, collaborated with amazing talents, and connected deeply with my fans. I’m grateful for all the opportunities and experiences.”
Sefa, originally on a five-year contract, extended it by a year to accomplish more with her team. Now, she’s ready to move forward and explore life as an independent artist.
She thanked her fans for their constant support and assured them she’ll keep creating meaningful music. While her departure raises questions about what’s next, fans are excited for her future as one of Afrobeat’s rising stars.
