After arguing with manager Jurgen Klopp on the touchline during the 2-2 Premier League tie against West Ham, Mohamed Salah, a forward for Liverpool, declared that “there will be fire” if he spoke.
As Salah was ready to replace Klopp in the 79th minute, there appeared to be a disagreement between the two.
Although former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch stated on TNT Sports that “it doesn’t look good for the club,” Klopp stated he would not discuss the details of the debate.
When Salah was set to be substituted, he appeared irritated by something Klopp said to him and wanted to continue the argument until teammates Darwin Nunez and Joe Gomez escorted him out.
Liverpool was all but eliminated from the championship contest as a consequence. As they now sit third in the standings, their only chance of hope is if Manchester City and Arsenal both lose.
After the game, Salah was seen on social media saying, “If I speak, there will be fire,” when he was making his way through the media area.
Salah said, “Yes, of course,” in response to a reporter’s question, “Fire?”
“We spoke about that in the dressing room and it’s done for me,” said Klopp thereafter.
The season will finish with Klopp’s departure, and Liverpool and Feyenoord this week agreed to pay Arne Slot, their manager, up to £9.4 million.
Salah, whose contract with Liverpool expires at the conclusion of the next season and who has scored 210 goals in 346 games over the course of seven years, has also been the subject of conjecture.
Rumors that he was considering a transfer to Saudi Arabia during the previous season have started to surface again.
