Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag reaffirmed his commitment to staying with the club next season, dismissing rumors of his potential dismissal.
Since assuming the helm at United in the summer of 2022, Erik ten Hag has faced challenges. Despite an auspicious start, achieving a top-three league position and reaching the FA Cup final in his inaugural season, the 2023-24 campaign has been fraught with difficulties. As a result, Ten Hag has been associated with a possible dismissal this summer.
In an interview with Sky Sports, the Manchester United manager stated, “I have full confidence in my position. I am solely on dedication to my duties and committed to this project. I find great fulfillment in being here; it presents a challenge that I relish.” He continued, “While results may not always align with our expectations, I am confident that we are on the correct path and will ultimately achieve our objectives.”
There have been rumors connecting the Red Devils with a potential pursuit of England manager Gareth Southgate, particularly as the 53-year-old’s contract with the Three Lions is due to conclude following Euro 2024 in Germany.
The Dutch manager will prioritize the remainder of the season, as Manchester United still has the opportunity to secure victory in the FA Cup and potentially clinch Champions League qualification.
