Omari Kellyman, a midfielder for Aston Villa, has joined Chelsea in a transfer that may potentially cost up to £19 million.
The 18-year-old, who has only made six appearances for Villa’s first team, has agreed to a six-year contract at Stamford Bridge with a one-year extension option.
After ten years with Derby County, Kellyman—who has two caps for the England Under-20s—joined Villa’s academy in 2022.
After left-back Ian Maatsen completed a £35 million move to Villa Park on Friday, the teenager’s move to London, which may increase to £19 million with add-ons, is the second transaction between the two clubs in as many days.
Hakim Ziyech, a winger from Morocco, spent the previous season on loan at Galatasaray after leaving Chelsea earlier this week.
