Thomas Tuchel Says He’s Not Ready To Be Man Utd Head Coach

Thomas Tuchel has declared himself unavailable to be the manager of Manchester United.

Should United choose to replace Erik ten Hag, one of the candidates being considered is the former coach of Bayern Munich and Chelsea.

Ten Hag still doesn’t know if he will be given a third season as manager at Old Trafford, and the post-season review hasn’t finished.

It’s understood that Tuchel traveled to France to meet Sir Jim Ratcliffe, United’s co-owner.

But after leaving Bayern at the end of the previous campaign, the 50-year-old German, who has also played for Borussia Dortmund and Paris St. Germain, wants to take a vacation.

If United decides to make a change in leadership, they have been connected to Graham Potter, Thomas Frank of Brentford, and former Tottenham and Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino.

England manager Gareth Southgate has also been associated with the event; earlier this year, he was there at Sir Dave Brailsford’s 60th birthday celebration.

Nonetheless, Southgate’s contract with the Football Association runs out at the end of the year, and United’s first preseason friendly is scheduled for the day following the Euro 2024 final.
