Antonin Kinsky, a 21-year-old Czech goalie, has joined Tottenham from Slavia Prague for a reported £12.5 million.
Guglielmo Vicario, Spurs’ starting goalie, has been sidelined since the team’s 4-0 victory over Manchester City on November 24 due to an ankle fracture.
Fraser Forster had been filling in for Vicario, but he was ill and missed Saturday’s 2-1 loss to Newcastle, so 25-year-old Brandon Austin made his debut.
Spurs are currently 12th in the Premier League after winning just two of their last 11 games.
Kinsky has a deal in place through 2031, and the relocation is contingent upon receiving a work permit and international clearance.
He joined from Dukla Prague in 2021 and went on loan for a while before settling in at Slavia.
The Czech Republic Under-21 player has made 29 appearances for Slavia this season and kept 14 clean sheets.
