Tottenham Seals £65m Signing Deal For Striker Solanke

Dominic Solanke, a sensational striker from Bournemouth, has officially joined Tottenham Hotspur in a record-breaking move worth up to £65 million.

With a deal that runs through 2030, the 26-year-old becomes Spurs’ most expensive acquisition ever, surpassing Tanguy Ndombele’s £63 million acquisition from Lyon.

With Solanke’s departure, The Cherries—who traded Nathan Ake for £40 million in the summer of 2020—have also experienced a record sale.

According to rumors, the English forward will sign a £55 million initial contract with an additional £10 million.

The former forward for Liverpool had an incredible season with Bournemouth in 2023–24, scoring 19 goals in the Premier League, the most goals scored by a player in the top division in a single season in the club’s history.

Spurs used an anime-inspired video to announce the deal, which was in line with Solanke’s habit of using anime-inspired goal celebrations from the previous season, like donning a Naruto mask.

After scoring 58 goals in all competitions over the previous three seasons, Ange Postecoglou will be hoping Solanke can bring his impressive form from the south coast to north London.

Following the signings of midfielder Archie Gray from Leeds United and Lucas Bergvall from Swedish club Djurgarden, the Englishman joins Spurs as their third summer addition.

Teenage winger Min-hyeok Yang, who will join Spurs in January, has also reached an agreement with Gangwon FC in South Korea.

Spurs now have three primary alternatives at center forward, with Timo Werner, a loanee, and Richarlison, a Brazilian, vying with Solanke for the starting spot.
