Thomas Tuchel expressed his frustration at the loss of Kingsley Coman, a key winger, to yet another injury just before Bayern Munich’s match against Arsenal on Wednesday.
In a significant blow for Tuchel’s side, Coman had to be assisted off the field during Bayern’s 2-0 victory over Koln. The French winger was substituted after only 50 minutes due to a suspected muscle injury, prompting concerns among Bayern fans. Jamal Musiala replaced him, indicating the severity of the situation. Unfortunately, it’s possible that Coman could be sidelined for the remainder of the season, much to Tuchel’s disappointment.
Speaking after the game, Tuchel told Sky: “The big downside to the whole game is the injury to Kingsley Coman. It makes me very sad because I know how hard he worked and how important he is for us. First Serge Gnabry is out, then he and Leroy Sane are doubts [for Wednesday].”
With Coman ruled out for Wednesday’s match, Bayern’s concerns over injuries on the wings intensify. Tuchel mentioned that the availability of Sane and Gnabry is uncertain, adding to Bayern’s worries about their fitness. Arsenal will travel to Munich for the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday, with the tie finely poised following last week’s 2-2 draw.
