Zuarungu Nursing, Midwifery Students Throw Their Support Behind Mahama

Former President John Mahama has received a lot of support from students at the Upper East Region’s Zuarungu Nursing and Midwifery Training College.

The students expressed their desire for trainee allowances to be replaced with instant employment prospects, which they feel the Mahama-led administration can provide.

The students voiced their annoyance about the two-year wait for their allowances during a recent rally in support of Mahama.

One student bemoaned, “We haven’t received allowances for two years. What good is it to hope for it when you can get employment to settle your issues?”

They emphasized the financial hardships they experience, especially the difficulty of paying for rent in the present economic environment.

The students emphasized that many of their difficulties would be resolved by being posted immediately upon graduation.

They expressed their opinion that their fees should be reduced because they are too exorbitant.

The students also demanded that more hospitals be built and that more development take place.

With statements like “four years of Mahama is better than eight years of Akufo-Addo and promises of digitalization by Bawumia,” the students made it clear that they strongly preferred Mahama’s leadership.

They proclaimed their unwavering support for the “Bring Back Mahama” movement.
