24-Year-Old Fetish Priest Arrested for Spreading False Information

Emmanuel Frimpong, a 24-year-old mason who also identifies as a fetish priest is in police custody by the Kwadaso Circuit Court. This action is due to his dissemination of false information regarding VIP Jeoun Company Limited’s operations.

Frimpong’s arrest came after a video he created gained traction on social media platforms. He made baseless claims that the company’s drivers undergo a rituals and buried alive in caskets before working.

The National Investigation Bureau (NIB), working in conjunction with the police, successfully tracked down and apprehended Frimpong. His arrest underscores the serious consequences of spreading misinformation and the collaborative efforts of law enforcement agencies to address such issues.

Now in police custody, Frimpong awaits further legal proceedings as the authorities continue their investigation into the dissemination of false information regarding VIP Jeoun Company Limited’s operations.

Following his arrest, he was before the Kwadaso Circuit Court for arraignment.

During the court session, Presiding Judge His Honor Stephen Kumi addressed the seriousness of the accused’s actions, emphasizing the potential damage they could inflict on the company’s reputation and the possibility of misleading the public.

Subsequently, the accused was on remand into police custody pending further legal proceedings. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 26, 2024.

Following the court proceedings, Adakabre Frimpong Manso, the General Manager of VIP Jeoun Company Limited, issued a warning. He stated that the company would take legal action against anyone whose actions pose a threat to its reputation.

What he said:

“In recent times, people have been going on social media and making serious allegations against VIP which are misleading, untrue and somewhat exaggerated and VIP does not have the requisite response on the same platform that people are making such claims against the company.

“So, I am directed by the VIP directors as a general manager to warn the general public through your esteemed media to desist, VIP is a law-abiding company, an ethical company that accepts objective criticisms of our operation for which we will improve.

“But VIP will not accept unsubstantiated allegations against the company which impacts negatively on our operations” he stated.
