Samuel Boadu ‘s Goal: Coaching the Black Stars

Samuel Boadu, ex-Hearts of Oak coach, has expressed his desire to lead the Black Stars in the coming years. Known as one of Ghana’s premier local coaches, Boadu has enjoyed success with Medeama SC and Hearts of Oak. His notable achievement includes guiding Hearts of Oak to an impressive treble during the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season, clinching the Premier League, FA Cup, and Super Cup titles.

Continuing his streak of success, Boadu secured additional silverware, including a league cup and the President’s Cup, totaling five trophies during his tenure at Hearts of Oak.

Now leading Berekum Chelsea, Samuel Boadu expressed his interest in coaching the Black Stars. “I aspire to manage the senior national team, the Black Stars, like any other coach,” he shared with Akoma FM. “But my chance will depend on my performance with my club,” he added.

Currently, Otto Addo oversees the Black Stars, taking charge after Chris Hughton’s departure.

The Black Stars’ AFCON journey commenced with defeats against Cape Verde, followed by 2-2 draws against Egypt and Mozambique.

The Black Stars aim to recover as they gear up to face Mali and the Central African Republic in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers this June.
