Al Nassr Reportedly Shows Interest In Bruno Fernandes

According to a source who spoke to ESPN, Al Nassr is among the Saudi Pro League teams interested in acquiring Bruno Fernandes, a midfield player for Manchester United.

Al Nassr, which acquired Cristiano Ronaldo in December 2022, is hoping to add a center-back, an attacking midfielder, a backup goalkeeper, and a young striker to their lineup.

Al Nassr believes Fernandes would be an excellent match in midfield, according to a source who spoke to ESPN, although it is acknowledged that signing him will be extremely tough.

Although Al Nassr is aware that United wants to hold onto the Portugal international, there is a perception that the club might be persuaded to cash in with a sizable enough offer.

United has money to spend this summer, but top insiders claim that the club’s finances are “tight” due to Profit and Sustainability (PSR) regulations, and the amount of money allocated for new players will depend on how many players depart.

After a poor campaign, Fernandes, who is under contract with United until at least 2026, has asked for guarantees from the club regarding their future goals.

Next season, there won’t be any Champions League action, and because United is now ranked eighth in the Premier League, there’s a chance they won’t qualify for Europe at all.

According to the source who spoke with ESPN, Fernandes is not attempting to push himself out, but at 29, he is eager to have the best possible finish to his career.

Raphaël Varane revealed on Tuesday that he will depart United at the conclusion of his contract in the summer, starting the team’s summer clearout. In June, Anthony Martial’s contract is also scheduled to expire.

After playing a less part this season, Christian Eriksen is free to transfer with one year remaining on his contract.

Realistic bids for several first-team players, including Casemiro, will also be taken into consideration by United. Being the second-highest paid player, the Brazilian midfielder is eager to reduce his salary.
