Fire Wreck Down 4-Bedroom Apartment at Assin Edubease

A family has been displaced by a fire outbreak at Assin Edubease in the Assin South District of the Central Region.

The four-bedroom apartment was burned down by fire on New Year’s eve. A pregnant woman, who is in her ninth month, Mavis Gartey and her husband Akwasi Mokwa and other family members, are counting their losses.

Thankfully, there were no casualties of human life. Once there is life, there is the chance to rebuild. The families are seeking for temporary shelter to cater for themselves.

Items lost included fridges, chairs, and cash amounting to Gh¢15,000. The outbreak s said to have happened as a result of an electrical malfunction. Electricity current went up and down, fire engulfed the house.

Meanwhile, the Assin South NADMO coordinator, Emmanuel Kwabena Brewu is calling for help. Mr Brewu is calling on philanthropists and well-to-do Ghanaians to rescue the family.

The year began on a bad note for this family. Times like this are hard to navigate through amid Ghana’s economic hardship. The current state of the country’s financial power even makes things worse.
