2025 AFCON Qualifier: Ghana To Host Angola In September

The Ghanaian Black Stars will play their first game at a location to be announced in September in order to qualify for the 2025 CAF AFCON in Morocco. The matchup is against Angola.

Following the official draw, Ghana is grouped with Angola, Sudan, and Niger, where the Black Stars will face opponents they are all too acquainted with. The dates of the next AFCON are December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.

On September 2–September 10, which is the first international break of the 2024–2025 season, the Black Stars play Angola and Niger.

At the Baba Yara Stadium, Ghana defeated Angola 1-0 thanks to a goal by Antoine Semenyo, securing Ghana’s spot in the 2023 AFCON.

Sudan’s head coach and 1982 AFCON winner Kwasi Appiah, a former player for the Black Stars, will guide his squad against Ghana in October.
