Hearts of Oak Sign Asamoah Boateng Afriyie & Michael Mensah Awuah

By obtaining the services of the Nations FC pair, Accra Hearts of Oak has made important moves during the current transfer window.

Michael Mensah Awuah, a defender, agreed to a three-year contract after his medical evaluation was completed well last Friday.

After completing his medical exams, forward Asamoah Boateng Afriyie has also agreed to a three-year contract.

Afriyie, who scored 12 goals in a variety of competitions last season, is predicted to improve the team’s offensive capabilities, while Awuah is projected to strengthen the defense.

With three different managers leading the team to a difficult 14th-place finish in the 2023–24 Ghana Premier League, Hearts of Oak is rebuilding their roster with the addition of these players.

As all is going on, the team is getting ready for its eagerly awaited Democracy Cup debut against bitter rivals Asante Kotoko.

The game is scheduled to begin at 18:00 GMT on Wednesday, July 17 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
