Hearts Lf Oak legend Mohammed Polo Calls For Dismissal Of Head Coach

Legend of Hearts of Oak Mohammed Polo has voiced concerns over head coach Aboubakar Ouattara’s suitability for the forthcoming Ghana Premier League season in 2024–2025.

Midway through the previous season, Ouattara was appointed as the Phobian Club’s substantive head coach, taking over for Martin Koopman on a two-and-a-half-year contract.

Despite a difficult campaign, the Ivorian manager managed the team to a vital 3-2 victory over Bechem United on the last day, securing their Premier League status.

However, Polo criticized Ouattara’s performance in an interview with Oyerepa FM, pointing out that the coach almost brought the squad down to the lower leagues.

Polo questioned the team’s choice to keep Ouattara on staff, claiming he is insufficiently qualified to lead Hearts of Oak.

“I don’t understand why Hearts of Oak is still keeping Aboubakar Outarra as head coach,” the former Ghana international said. Someone who nearly sent the team to relegation. I don’t think he has anything good to offer Hearts of Oak,”

Hearts of Oak, meanwhile, has declared that they will move their preseason camp to Asutsuare.

At the Accra Sports Stadium, they will play their home opener against the debuting Basake Holy Stars team to start the new season.
