Kurt Okraku Has Failed – Agyemang–Badu

The Ghana Football Association (GFA), under Kurt Okraku, has come under fire from Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu for failing to improve and develop the nation’s national football teams.

His remarks come in response to the Black Stars’ most recent 2-0 loss to Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tournament (AFCON).

The senior national team could lose out on the AFCON tournament for the first time in twenty years as a result of the defeat.

Former Black Stars player Agyemang-Badu expressed his disappointment in an interview with Oyerepa FM following the game, blaming Okraku’s leadership for Ghana’s football standards’ downfall.

“Ghana’s national teams have faced nothing but failures and disasters under Kurt Okraku’s administration. From the U-17s to the Black Stars, our performances at major tournaments have fallen short of expectations,” he said.

With just two points from four games, Ghana is currently in third place in Group F.

In order to maintain their chances of qualifying for the AFCON tournament in Morocco next year, the Black Stars will play Angola and Niger to end their qualifying campaign. They are hoping that Sudan would lose their last games.
