Abdul Aziz Issah, a young player from Ghana, has been nominated for the CAF Inter-club Player of the Year award for 2024.
The only Ghanaians in the race for the coveted award are Issah and his Dreams FC teammate John Antwi, who also shares this honor.
Following Issah’s impressive performance in the CAF Confederation Cup last season, when CAF named him one of Africa’s best young players, he was nominated.
With four goals and two assists in ten games, he finished as the tournament’s top scorer and helped Dreams FC reach a historic semi-final.
Antwi captained the team during the tournament and equaled Issah’s goal total.
At the end of the season, his outstanding performances won him a transfer to FC Barcelona’s B squad, where he is currently training for his debut.
After David Oduro left Accra Lions just last week, Issah is the second Ghanaian player to sign with Barcelona this summer.
