Manchester City Relieved With Win Over Nottingham Forest Multiple Losses

Manchester City defeated Nottingham Forest to snap a seven-game losing streak, putting a stop to their recent terrible run.

By the half, Pep Guardiola’s team was in control because to goals from Bernardo Silva and star player Kevin de Bruyne. Twelve minutes after the break, Jeremy Doku added a third goal.

The joy of making it to the finish line this time was evident after six losses and a 3-3 tie with Feyenoord, which must have seemed like a loss considering City was ahead 3-0 with 20 minutes remaining.

The hosts’ performance wasn’t flawless. For that, there were just too many errant passes and miscontrols.

Additionally, Forest would have tied Silva’s tap-in in the eighth minute and home nerves would have been weakened if Chris Wood had finished, as the entire stadium seemed to expect, when he ran free from De Bruyne’s misdirected pass back into his own half rather than rolling the shot wide.

However, almost instantly after edging away from Doku to find enough room to catch his teammate Belgian’s short pass and complete the flawless finish, De Bruyne scored the other goal.

In what has become a torturous season, Guardiola’s delight was one of sheer relief when Doku found the corner with his own superb effort from the edge of the box to complete City’s joint-biggest margin of victory in the league.
