Mahama’s Government Has Only 30 Presidential Staffers – Kwakye Ofosu Counters Misinformation
Claims that President John Dramani Mahama has appointed 100 people to be presidential staffers have been denied by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister of State for Government Communications. He claims that only 30 staff members have been appointed by the president, which is a much smaller number than the previous administration had. This statement is in response to statements made by Samuel Abu Jinapor, the Member of Parliament for Damongo, who claimed that President Mahama had not fulfilled his promise to form a lean government by appointing more than 100 staffers to the presidency and more than 60 ministers as promised.
