The Ghanaian club Asante Kotoko’s defender Bernard Somuah has officially joined Spanish La Liga Club Celta Vigo.
The club announced on Tuesday that the youthful star would be joining Celta Vigo on a season-long loan.
Asante Kotoko issued a statement after the relocation was confirmed, wishing Somuah all the best of luck in Spain.
The club said in the statement:
“Asante Kotoko SC is pleased to announce the loan transfer of our talented winger, Bernard Sarpong Somuah, to Spanish La Liga side, Celta Vigo, for the upcoming season. The agreement includes an option for Celta Vigo to make the deal permanent at the end of the loan period.
“We thank Bernard for his commitment to Asante Kotoko and wish him the very best,”
Somuah’s rise from a potential player to a well respected talent at the age of just eighteen has been remarkable.
His ascent to fame started with an incredible display during a Kotoko trial, where his exceptional abilities and potential drew the interest of the club’s scouts.
