In a court lawsuit, a lady who accused Conor McGregor of raping her has won her claim for damages.
The Irish mixed martial arts competitor was found guilty by a jury of assaulting Nikita Hand in a hotel in Dublin in December 2018.
He has been ordered to compensate her for damages exceeding €248,000 (£206,000).
Ms. Hand said her narrative served as “a reminder that no matter how afraid you might be to speak up, you have a voice” when she spoke outside the court on Friday.
McGregor thanked “all my support worldwide” and said that he would appeal the decision in a post on X on Friday night.
After taking the case against McGregor, Nikita Hand stated she was “overwhelmed” by the support she received.
After a day of deliberation, the Dublin High Court jury found that McGregor had indeed assaulted Ms. Hand.
Additionally, she had filed a complaint against James Lawrence, a 35-year-old resident of Dublin’s Rafter’s Road, Drimnagh.
She claimed that he had sexually abused her in the Beacon Hotel by having sex with her against her will.
He did not assault her, according to the jury’s verdict.

Nikita Hand, a 35-year-old hair colourist, has won her case against her husband, James Lawrence, after a jury of eight women and four men deliberated for six hours.
The jury found that Lawrence did not assault Hand, who had been partying all night and heavily drinking and taking cocaine. Hand was placed in a chokehold by McGregor, who denied causing the bruising. She was taken to Rotunda Hospital in Dublin, where she was assessed in the sexual assault treatment unit.
The jury heard that she had to leave her job due to her mental health, end her relationship with her partner, move out of her home, and have her mortgage in arrears. She also had to stop seeing a counsellor due to financial constraints.
