Hearts of Oak Board Dissatisfied With Recent Performances

Hearts of Oak, a team in the Ghana Premier League, has released a statement on their recent string of underwhelming performances.

The team’s record after six games is just one win.

They were defeated 0-1 by Accra Lions on Wednesday in a League match that took place on Matchday 28.

Their next matchup is against Berekum Chelsea, which they will travel to Berekum for.

The club now sits 12th on the log with 35 points due to a recent run of bad performances.

The Hearts of Oak board of directors said in a statement on Friday, May 3, that they are taking action about the team’s recent performance.

The board, presided over by Togbe Afede XIV, the Agbogbomafia of the Asogli State, gave an assurance that it is dedicated to maintaining Hearts of Oak’s great legacy.

In the statement, it also promised that “every effort is being made to overcome this challenge” and that all stakeholders’ commitment and support are cherished.

The statement reads:

“The board will like to address the recent poor results of the team, which we find unacceptable,” the statement opened.

“Please be assured that we are actively engaged in discussions with Management and the technical team to address this concern promptly.

“The board will ensure the club takes all the necessary measures to reverse this trend and regain our competitive edge.”

“Your continued support is invaluable to us as we work towards a brighter future for Accra Hearts of Oak.

“Together, we will navigate through this period and emerge stronger than ever before.”
