It has been revealed that Ghanaian dancehall superstar Shatta Wale would be the only Ghanaian performer at the eagerly awaited “Freedom Street” concert, which will be hosted by Jamaican dancehall icon Vybz Kartel.
Following his recent release from prison, Vybz Kartel will play live for the first time in almost 14 years on December 31, 2024, at Kingston, Jamaica’s National Stadium.
International stars including Spice, Popcaan, Busta Rhymes, and Skillibeng will also perform at the concert, which has been called a historic occasion in dancehall history.
It is also anticipated to be a magnificent celebration of the dancehall genre’s unwavering passion, artistry, and tenacity.
Kartel, known as the “World Boss,” voiced his enthusiasm, describing the occasion as a “evolution” that will change the regulations around New Year’s Eve festivities.
With state-of-the-art lighting, special effects, and stage design, “Freedom Street” promises to provide an immersive experience.
