Sudanese Striker Joins Asante Kotoko

The Sudanese forward Abdoel Karem Abdoel Rahman Yoouef Yagoub is officially signed by Asante Kotoko.

The striker, who was previously with Hay Alwady in Sudan, has transferred to the Porcupine Warriors on a one-year contract with the possibility of one more year.

Yoouef Yagoub, who will replace Steven Dese Mukwala, the team’s best scorer from the previous season, is expected to bolster the attack of the Kumasi-based powerhouse.

The Reds are in the process of rebuilding after letting go of over 22 players after a difficult season in which they placed sixth.

Yoouef Yagoub is the first player signed during this transfer window as the former champions of Ghana begin prepping for the next season early.

On July 17, 2024, the Sudanese forward may play in his first Asante Kotoko game against Hearts of Oak in the Democracy Cup.

An announcement of new players is anticipated before to the Ghanaian football season of 2024–2025.
