Taylor Swift Beats Rihanna To Become The Richest Female Singer With $1.6B Net Worth

At an estimated net worth of $1.6 billion, Taylor Swift has eclipsed Rihanna to become the richest female musician in the world.

Swift’s rise was verified on Saturday, October 5, when Forbes updated her net worth to account for her increasing wealth following the historic “Eras Tour” and the ongoing appeal of her back catalog.

Not only does she now own the highest net worth among female musicians, surpassing Rihanna’s $1.4 billion, but she also ranks second overall among all musicians.

With a net worth of $2.5 billion, Jay-Z is the only person worth more.

However, Swift is the only singer in history to have earned a 10-digit net worth primarily from her recordings and live performances (as opposed to other economic activities), as was noted when she first became a billionaire in October 2023.

Forbes estimates that her assets currently total $600 million from royalties and touring, an additional $600 million from the value of her catalogue, and $125 million from real estate, one year after she achieved that milestone.

Further

Although Swift’s name has long been associated with lists of the “wealthiest musicians,” her recent rise has been remarkable.

She was estimated to be worth $365 million in 2020, which means that just the last four years have seen her earn around $1.2 billion.

Despite all, Rihanna retains her title as the “Richest Female Musician of All Time,” having previously had a net worth estimated at $1.77 billion at its highest point.

When Swift wraps up her “Eras Tour” later this year with its final gigs in the US and Canada (get tickets), she may be able to lay claim to that title as well.

Swift recently endorsed Kamala Harris for president, much to the fury of Donald Trump, who claimed the singer will “pay a price” as a result.
