Yaw Acheampong Quits As Aduana FC Head Coach After Disappointing Start.

After a dismal start to the 2024–25 Ghana Premier League season, Aduana F.C. and head coach Yaw Acheampong have agreed to part ways.

Following Aduana’s 2-0 home loss to Asante Kotoko on Sunday during Matchday 12, the decision was made.

Calls for a coaching change were heightened when defender Patrick Asiedu’s outstanding free kick and goal from the in-form Albert Amoah clinched the loss.

Until a new head coach is found, assistant coach Paul Tandoh has been assigned to lead the team.

The two-time league champions have had a difficult season, recording just two wins, two draws, and five losses in their first nine games, despite finishing in a respectable fifth place the previous season.

With 12 points, they are currently ranked 13th in the league, a performance that has fallen well short of the club’s ambitions.

When Aduana F.C. plays Berekum Chelsea in a pivotal Matchday 13 match at Golden City Park on Sunday, they will be hoping to turn things around under Tandoh’s direction.
