Lil Win Reveals Plans to Charge Up to $150,000 for Movie Roles as He Eyes Hollywood
Ghanaian actor and filmmaker Kwadwo Nkansah, widely known as Lil Win, has revealed plans to raise his acting fees significantly following the release of his upcoming movie, Journey to Africa.
According to the Kumawood star, he intends to charge $100,000 for a three-day acting role in Ghana, while producers seeking his services for projects outside the country could pay as much as $150,000.
Speaking in a video shared by Gossip 24, Lil Win explained that his proposed fees reflect the value, experience and level of production he believes he now brings to the movie industry.
The actor said his decision will take effect after completing Journey to Africa, a major production featuring more than six established Nigerian actors alongside approximately 40 Ghanaian actors.
Lil Win, however, clarified that financial reward is not the only factor he considers when choosing movie roles. He said his priority is working on projects capable of expanding his career and giving him greater exposure beyond Ghana.
According to him, he could even accept a role without charging a fee if he believes the script is exceptional and the project has the potential to move his career forward.
On the other hand, Lil Win said producers whose projects do not meet the quality and standards he expects would have to pay his full asking price.
The actor also revealed that breaking into Hollywood remains one of his biggest career ambitions.
He believes both acting and film production could provide opportunities for him to enter the international movie industry. Rather than relying solely on securing Hollywood acting roles, Lil Win hopes his own productions can attract foreign filmmakers and lead to collaborations involving internationally recognised actors.
Following Journey to Africa, the filmmaker hopes to connect with an international producer and develop projects that could eventually feature Hollywood stars.
For Lil Win, the proposed $100,000 to $150,000 acting fee forms part of a bigger strategy to position himself and his productions on the global stage while pursuing his long-term Hollywood dream.
