Kurt Okraku concludes Upper West tour with stakeholder dialogue in Sissala East.
President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, rounded off his tour of the Upper West Region with a fruitful and highly engaging interaction with the leadership of the Sissala East Municipal Football Association, club officials and Catch Them Young Referees on Tuesday, January 3, 2026.
The historic engagement was held at the Sissala East Municipal Hall in Tumu, where officials from clubs across the municipality converged for an open and interactive session focused on strengthening collaboration and deepening grassroots football development. The meeting formed part of the GFA President’s broader strategy to engage stakeholders directly at the community level and listen to the voices shaping football on the ground.
Earlier in the day, President Simeon-Okraku paid a courtesy call on the Municipal Chief Executive, Honourable Adamu Yakubu, where discussions centered on shared priorities, particularly the role of football in youth development and community growth.

The stakeholder engagement provided a valuable platform for participants to ask pertinent questions, share experiences and raise concerns affecting football development within the municipality.
President Simeon-Okraku welcomed the feedback, emphasizing that such interactions are essential in informing policy decisions and shaping responsive, inclusive interventions.
He reaffirmed the GFA’s commitment to working closely with local football authorities, clubs and officials to address challenges, strengthen structures and create pathways for young talents across the country.
The meeting marked a fitting conclusion to the President’s Upper West Regional tour, underscoring his administration’s people-centered approach and unwavering dedication to building Ghana football from the grassroots through dialogue, partnership and sustained investment.
