‘My husband is being tortured and held against his will’ – Kubala King’s wife laments
Queen Nandi, wife of self-styled Kubala King Kofi Offeh, has raised concerns over her husband’s detention at a rehabilitation facility in Kumasi.
In a TikTok post, Queen Nandi alleged that Kofi Offeh is being held at the Winningway Facility against his will and that his human rights have been violated.
According to her, she recently spoke with an international human rights lawyer who reviewed information about the situation and advised her on possible legal action.
Queen Nandi claimed her husband was taken to the facility without his consent. She further alleged that he was restrained, assaulted, subjected to exorcism sessions and had his hair shaved.
She also claimed that Kofi Offeh has been prevented from communicating with her and their children.
Queen Nandi further alleged that pastors connected to Winning Church have been trying to convince her husband to abandon his beliefs and convert to Christianity. She claimed he was told he would not be released unless he accepted Jesus Christ.
She also linked the situation to concerns Kofi Offeh reportedly raised before his deportation from the United Kingdom. According to her, he previously expressed fears about his safety involving some members of his family.
Queen Nandi said her lawyer advised that there could be legal options available if it can be shown that her husband was deported to a country where he faced a serious threat to his safety or wellbeing.
However, she said she needs to raise £6,000 to begin the legal process.
She has now appealed to supporters of the Kubala movement worldwide to help raise the money needed to pursue legal action over what she describes as the unlawful detention and treatment of her husband.
