A Nigerian woman has shared her surprise after a physically challenged man approached her at a wedding reception and expressed interest in marrying her.
According to the woman, she had put a lot of effort into preparing for the wedding. She wore a stylish outfit and completed her look with her hair, nails, lashes, new shoes and a bag.
While standing with some of the aso-ebi ladies at the reception, a physically challenged man approached her.
She said she decided to listen to him because she did not want to be rude or dismissive.
“I didn’t want to be rude because he’s also human, so I decided to give him audience,” she explained.
However, the conversation took an unexpected turn when the man told her he wanted to marry her.
Surprised by the proposal, the woman questioned why he chose her out of all the women at the wedding.
“He then said he wanted to marry me. I was like, of all the girls that are here, why me? Why did you choose me?” she said.
She jokingly wondered what she had done wrong, especially considering the number of other men who attended the wedding.
“What did I do wrong? Upon all the sweet boys that came to the wedding,” she added.
Her reaction to the unexpected marriage proposal has since attracted attention online.
