Antoine Semenyo has been nominated for the Premier League’s EA SPORTS Player of the Month award for September following an impressive start to the 2026/27 campaign with Manchester City.
The Ghana international has played every minute of City’s five Premier League victories this season, contributing two goals and two assists in September.
Semenyo registered his first assist of the month in City’s 1-0 win over newly promoted Coventry City, delivering a cross for Erling Haaland to score the decisive goal.
He was also influential in the 2-1 victory over Manchester United before producing his best display of the month against Sunderland.
The 26-year-old provided an assist for Rayan Cherki before scoring twice as City edged Sunderland 5-3 in a thrilling encounter.
Semenyo currently has three assists in the Premier League this season, putting him among the joint-leading providers in the division.
Since joining City in January, he has scored 13 goals and provided six assists in 34 appearances across all competitions.
The Ghanaian is seeking his second Premier League Player of the Month award after winning the prize in February.
He faces competition from Mohamed Bellouni, Jayden Bogle, Pascal Gross, Charalampos Kostoulas, Alexander Isak, Jeremy Jacquet and Kevin Schade.
Meanwhile, Semenyo was included in Ghana’s squad for the September international break but subsequently withdrew from the team after suffering from a swollen leg.
The Manchester City forward therefore missed the Black Stars’ 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Cote d’Ivoire and The Gambia.
